They Won’t Believe Me: This is about a philanderer who becomes engaged with 3 females, leading to calamity and a tremendous twist ending. Young succeeds in his unsympathetic role; Johnson does marvels with her scenes as his spouse. Suicide Kings: A group of desperate kids kidnap a slick underworld mob boss and keep him prisoner to boost leverage in the kidnapping of Thomas’ sibling. Although throughout one long day, the mobster Walken, in fine form measures up his captors and plays on their weaknesses. Well planned piece, with some excellent tale twists and first-rate acting jobs. Cast includes Christopher Walken, Denis Leary, Henry Thomas, Sean Patrick Flanery, Laura San Giacomo, and Brad Garrett. A Fan’s Notes: Bewildered, football-infatuated author becomes disenchanted with the Incredible American Fantasy of prosperity and compliance, and ends up in an insane asylum. A poor rendition of Frederick Exley’s highly considered novel. Cast includes Jerry Orbach, Burgess Meredith, Patricia Collins, Julia Ann Robinson, and Rosemary Murphy. (100 minutes,’72)
Toy Story: A boy’s top choice toy, a doll named Woody, feels bullied and properly so by the emergence of a new toy, a high-tech spaceman model promoted on Television. An adult story masquerading as a kids film, this tale of kinship, fickleness, and the need for acceptance has a vibrant cast of characters led by Woody and his adversary, Thrill Light-year. Their facial proclamations and body language is as excellent as anything ever seen in a conventional animation. Cast includes Tim Allen, Don Rickles, Jim Varney, Wallace Shawn, John Ratzenberger, Annie Potts, Laurie Metcalf, and R. Lee Ermey. (80 minutes,’95)
The Jackie Robinson Story: Simple bio of Robinson, the first black man to play Major League Baseball. Captivating as a historical story; pointed in its presentation of the racial issues engaged. Interestingly, Robinson’s Negro League ball club is named the Black Panthers! Dee plays Robinson’s spouse. The movie is depicted by Brock Peters. Cast includes Jackie Robinson, Red Dee, Little Watson, Louise Beavers, Richard Aisle, Harry Shannon, Ben Lessy, and Joel Fuellen. (76 minutes,’50)
Kingdom Come: A drama of a minister who uses the auspices of the temple to guard a gal on a Mafia hit list. Obviously, he falls in love with her. Obviously, he additionally he happens child of a Mafia boss himself. Cast includes LL Cool J, Jada Pinkett Smith, Vivica A. Hiroshima Mon Amour: Resnais first film is a considerate, difficult research of a French film actress Riva and Japanese designer Okada, each with a tough past, who have a coincidental event in postwar Hiroshima. Cast includes Emmanuele Riva, Eiji Okada, Stella Dassas, Pierre Barbaud, and Bernard Fresson. (91 minutes,’59)
