It used to be that you had to go to the video store to get a movie. High speed internet access has now made it possible to download movies right off a movie download site. Following is a list of a few movies that you can get using a movie download site.
Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band: Try to link melodies from The Beatles’ classic album into some kind of tale line just doesn’t work; patterns range from reasonable to humiliating. As to The Bee Gees performing ability, well let’s just say that they are not the Beatles. Cast includes Peter Frampton, The Bee Gees, George Bums, Sandy Farina, and Steve Martin. (111 minutes,’78)
Star Trek: Nemesis: The Romulans have a new leader in power. Since they are the closest starship in the area, the Enterprise is sent to the neutral zone to speak with Preator, the new Romulan leader. He has told the Federation he wants a peace treaty. When the Enterprise arrives they find themselves in the middle of a situation that could lead to the destruction of Earth.
Black like Me: Powerful drama based on real history of journalist who took drugs that permitted him to pass for black so he might experience racial prejudice first hand. Some facets of presentation are un-contemporary, although topics are still pertinent. Cast includes James Whitmore, Roscoe Lee Browne, Lenka Petersen, Sorrell Booke, Can Geer, Al Freeman, and Raymond Jacques. (107 minutes,’64)
Bram Stoker’s Dracula: Count Dracula is on a mission to find the one woman he truly ever loved. HE wants to be eternally reunited with her. He leaves Transylvania and goes to London to see if a woman who looks exactly like his love of centuries ago is in fact the woman he searches for.
Cujo: Completely terrifying adaptation of Stephen King thriller in regards to a female and her child terrorized by a rabid St. Bernard. Develops gradually and undoubtedly to horrifying (although not gory) for kids. Cast includes Dee Wallace, Daniel Hugh-Kelly, Christopher Rock, and Factories Watson. (91 minutes,’83)
House Springs: Having just been ditched by his fiance Driver, British actor Firth heads to the U.S. and falls for Graham. Then, wouldn’t you know it, Minnie shows up. There are good acting jobs from everyone, although not enough chuckles for a romantic comedy. The film is based on the novel New Cardiff by Charles Webb. Cast includes Colin Firth, Heather Graham, Minnie Driver, Mary Steenburgen, Oliver Platt, and. (92 minutes, 2003)
Stagecoach: One of the best American films, and a landmark in the aging of the Western. This is the film that launched John Wayne to authentic stardom. Mitchell won an Oscar as the intoxicated physician, as did the music score. Script by Dudley Nichos, from Ernest Haycox’s tale “Level to Lordsburg” whose plot is comparable to Man de Maupassant’s Boule de Suif. Cast includes Claire Trevor, John Wayne, Andy Devine, John Carradine, Thomas Mitchell, Tim Holt, Tom Tyer, and Jack Pennick. (96 minutes,’39)
Red Scorpion: Low Budget action movie with Lundgren as a Soviet officer sent to Africa to slay an insurgent leader. Cast includes Dolph Lundgren, Emmet Walsh, Al White, T.P. McKenna, Carmen Argenziano, and Brian James. (102 minutes,’89)
Hired-To-Kill: A Mercenary poses as a gay clothes maker to spring insurgent leader ‘Ferrer’ from a Latin American jail. His commando squad with six attractive ladies posing as models is impressive. Well generated, although awesomely stupid. Cast includes Nico Mastorakis, Peter Rader. Brian Thompson, Oliver Reed, George Kennedy, Jose Ferrer, Michelle Moffett, Barbara Lee Alexander, Jordana Capra, Kendall Conrad, Kim Lonsdale, Jude Mussetter, and Penelope Reed. (91 minutes,’90)
