This is why you need education in all four areas.

CompTIA A+ without additional courses will allow you to mend and maintain computers and Macs; ones that are generally not connected to a network – which means the home or small business market.

It could be a good idea to consider supplementing the A+ with Network + as it will enable you to look after networks of computers, which is where the bigger salaries are.

Always expect an authorised exam preparation system as part of your training package.

Technological devices can be intimidating sometimes.Devices that work or connect with computers always seem to be the worst and most complex.It is like a whole different world trying to understand how they work.

Hubs are very user friendly. They are probably the simplest and most easy devices to understand that is used with computers.They also have the benefit of being inexpensive.

There are many similarities between hubs and switches, but hubs are very simple.Think of hubs as an introduction to switches.The function of hubs has been built into several other devices like routers as time goes on.

Multiple computers or devices are able to communicate when they are connected to a hub.The hub receives information from one computer or device.The hub then copies it and sends the information to the other devices.

The hub sends the information through Ethernet cables. There are multiple ports on the hub so that multiple Ethernet cables and devices can connect. This means that only wired networks can use hubs.

Hubs send the information to all connected devices because they are not capable of knowing destination addresses. They are also not capable of knowing which computer or device was the source of the information. This is one way that switches are more advanced than hubs.  Read more...

Perhaps you are still one of those poor people who still do not have access to high speed internet and if you are living in the dial up world then you know this is not a very productive way to get things done. Dial up internet takes a while just to get started up and once it does you are more apt to lose connection. Even if you don’t lose your internet connection while using it dial up services are very slow, in fact they function at about 30 kbps and less. This means that you will spend an enormous amount of time waiting for pages to load and some may even be to big to load effectively.

People with dial up soon find out that they cannot view all websites with a dial up connection and that the sites they can see will take hours to load and plenty of their valuable time. This makes browsing the internet a big headache and takes away from the convenience of having the luxury of an internet connection in your home. Want To Make Your Slow Computer A Bit Faster? Try This Out.

If you want to make your slow computer faster, then tuning your virtual memory would be a great place to start. You see, your hard drive is that place that your computer stores files like videos, picture etc… Your RAM on the other hand is the place that your computer’s programs work in. Its basically like a temporary working area. It’s a great system, but when your RAM gets full your computer has two choices: it can either tell you that you cannot open any more programs or it can find a new place to be used as the temporary working place. This is where virtual memory comes into play. Virutal memory is space on your computers hard drive that will be used the same way that your computer uses RAM

The name for this space on your hard drive is called a Paging File and is what you need to “tune” if you want to make your slow computer a bit faster. Your paging file is designed to be two different sizes that it moves in between: the Initial Size and the Maximum Size. Since these two sizes are constantly changing it causes your paging file to work inefficiently.
