The Price Related To A Desktop Pc And What Affects Their Cost

The desktop PC comes in all shapes and sizes and all different kinds of configurations. Some can be as cheap as $300 and some can be as expensive as $7000.Now considering that there is such a vast difference in price it would probably be a good idea to understand how some a difference could occur.

As you would expect the first thing that will affect the price of a product is the manufacturer. For example a PC made by Sony is likely to cost more than an identical specification PC made by Packard Bell say, this doesn’t necessarily mean the Sony is better but the chances of the Sony being made from more robust components is greater as they are better able to negotiate cheaper contracts with higher class component makers such is the stature of their name.

Another reason is the operating system, currently the two main operating systems are Windows and Macintosh. A similar spec windows machine will cost less than a corresponding spec Macintosh, the main factor being the demand for the windows machine is greater.

The last and most important factor that has a bearing on cost is the actual technical specification of the PC.  Read more...

Desktop Computers For Your Home

The personal computer or PC is also known as a desktop computer. These computers are made for staying in one location and most are used in homes or offices. Laptops and notebook computers are designed for travel instead. The first computers made were gigantic in size. They took up entire rooms in fact. When the first desktops came out they were big and bulky, but compared to the original computers, they were considered small even though they still really outsize our modern computers.

Desktops come in a big variety of sizes and styles. The tower design changes from company to company now and they can either be slim in size, regular. They can also lay flat or stand vertical on end. Some computers have the entire system tucked in behind the monitor, built in.

Monitors differ from PC to PC as well. The first monitors were very heavy and bulky and huge. The first monitors were large but with the invention of the flat screen that has changed. However, there are two types of PCs: laptops and desktops. Making a choice between the two can take time if one is not privy to the unique characteristics of each. The advertising that it gets can just blur the facts necessary for settling with decision. These tend to focus more on how it appears as if it is a fashion item.

Desktops are for stationary use, while a laptop can be stationary, but can also be mobile with ease.

The desktop PC is stationary and is set up in a specific location. It is used regularly and is known as a personal computer. They come in various styles ranging in size from small to large. There is also something called the all in one and it is made just as the name infers.

There are basic computers that are great for simple tasks like Internet browsing, and online shopping. They are used by many who check e-mail or perform offline functions such as working with word documents, or playing built in games.
