One of the best things on your checklist when you start a dating business, or a social networking site – any website actually – is giving it a name. It’s sometimes hard, but it’s always fun, and you can pour all your creativity into the activity. You don’t even need any dating software for it.
The first thing you should remember in naming your own dating site is that the name should reflect what you want the website to be about. If you cater to young professionals, then your company name should appeal to young professionals. If you cater to a slightly older audience, or focus on adult dating, the web site name should reflect that fact. Make sure that the name does not communicate anything negative, racial, nor play into stereotypes. Try giving it a romantic twist, or an adventurous twist. Remember though that whatever name you come up with, chances are that others have already thought of it, too, so make several backup names.
