The Juicy Couture company history began during 1994 when two designers Pamela Skaist and Gela Nash, began a clothing line named Travis Jeans. The business realized success, focusing on motherhood jeans that were fashionable and comfy.
In 1996 the Two Ladies altered the course of the fashion brand. They dumped the jeans determined to produce a line more complimentary to a feminine figure, and began the Juicy Couture brand. The two had craved to fashion a brand that was both seductive & fashionable, and comfy too.
The clothing line was started by the Juicy Duo out of their home in Pacoima, California. They wanted to get more exposure for their line so the they decided on giving their finished designs to Hollywood stars like Madonna, J Lo and Cameron Diaz. It was not long before one of them discovered the girls’ talent; Madonna was spotted wearing a low riding draw string pants and a curve hugging zip up hoody with the embroidered word “Madge” on it. Madonna’s appearance caused almost instant success for the line. Shortly after, Hollywood was suddenly full of stars sporting Juicy Couture. The outfit that Madonna was wearing was the Juicy Couture most famous outfit the Tracksuit. The embroidered Madge is not really seen on Juicy Couture clothing anymore. The bottoms to the suits all have the signature juicy written across the backside.
