There have been dramatic changes in the clothing that women wear on the beach. Once upon a time they had to completely cover themselves if they wanted to go swimming. That changed following the sexual revolution, when it became the widespread view that clothes should accentuate women’s figures, and this was also true with respect to swimwear. A radical change had occurred, allowing bikini swimwear to become more popular. Little was left to the imagination with these designs. But at the same time, the appropriate womens swimsuit choice could emphasize the best parts of a woman’s body.

Take, for example, the one piece swimsuit. There are some women who would not want to show their bellies if it was scarred. In such a situation they would want to wear a one piece to cover their midriff. When a woman wants to cover more of her body, a one piece is the preferred option. You do not need to feel this way, and there are swimsuits that offer you a better fit overall than some of the bikinis that you see on skinny models and mannequins. Tankinis can often give you the right kind of attention.

With a bikini, you do not get the best fit because even the slightest size difference can be very unflattering. However, because tankinis fit more like a T-shirt, this means a little more leeway for you. This different kind of fit allows you to experiment with more cuts and designs that you might not otherwise get to wear. Everybody’s bodies are different, so swimsuits will fit differently.
