Things To Consider When Test Driving A Car

When looking for a new car it is vital that you test-drive the car first. If you have never owned that type or class of vehicle before, it is a good idea to test-drive several different models from that class of car. This way you can compare what different manufacturers have to offer.

Begin by looking at vehicles that will fit in your garage or on your drive. Work out whether you can afford to run the car. Make a list of insurance, servicing, tyre, road tax and congestion charge costs. Finally, consider fuel economy and compare that with your current fuel costs. Most dealers have this information easily at hand. Failing that the information is available on-line on several sites. Parkers and Which Car are the best for this type of information.

Make yourself a checklist and fill it in for each of the cars that you test. Include in your list anything that have niggled you about cars you have owned in the past. In addition, ask yourself, Is the car accessible? E.g., Can my passengers and I get in and out easily? Is the car comfortable for all users? If you drive in no insurance then you are likely to come under the full arm of the law and have various penalties and punishments apply to you. These punishments will depend upon the infraction that you make and this nature and each state will require you to have some level of insurance to avoid all of this.

In the main there will be two different types infractions that any motorist can do. The first of these will be when a motorist has an insurance policy for the vehicle but does not have it on them when they are stopped traffic stop. The other will be when the motorist has absolutely no insurance policy whatsoever.

The most common type of punishment that you will get from not having an insurance policy will be some sort of ticket and a resulting fine alongside it. Radio Controlled Models – The Helicopter

If you like remote controlled models and have lots of space, then you might want to think about buying one of the new huge remote control helicopters that have recently been introduced by several makes. These helicopters, which can occasionally be as big as ten feet long, rival genuine helicopters in agility. They are expensive and can cost three thousand dollars or more.

As with many trends, some people just have to have one of their own. So, the next time you are walking in the countryside and you see a helicopter flying in the region, look again closely. At first you will probably think that it is a real helicopter that is simply further away then you first thought. But look again and you will almost certainly see someone controlling the helicopter with a gigantic remote control unit.

If you see one of these remote controlled helicopters in flight, deem yourself very fortunate. Because it is so expensive to own one of these beautiful models, they are also still pretty rare. However, because I am an ardent collector myself, I have considered buying one of these big remote control helicopters, and I even put a bid on one in Ebay once, but in the end I did not get it and instead decided to wait until the price comes down a bit more.  Read more...

The ninth generation of pony cars has been launched in the shape of 2007 Ford Mustang. Let’s get straight to the point; build quality, interior space, cabin ambience, performance, handling, innovation and equipment levels of Skoda’s new compact SUV, the Yeti are up there with the best.

The quirky exterior styling of the latest offering from VW Group’s Czech subsidiary is not unlike that of the Roomster, a model Skoda launched back in 2007, albeit a more testosterone pumped version.

Launched in New Zealand with a 103kW 2.0 liter TDI engine producing an impressive 320Nm of torque, a 6 speed manual gearbox is currently the only transmission available. Combined cycle fuel consumption is quoted at 6.1 liters diesel per 100 kilometers, which equates to 159 g/km of CO2.

The Yeti is left wanting for nothing much in terms of creature comforts.

With a leather clad multi-function steering wheel, cruise control, 6 disc CD with touch screen stereo, a chilled glove box and cool box in the center armrest, climate air-conditioning, automatic wipers and headlights all standard.

Understanding Formula One Racing

Formula One racing as it is today developed from EU Grand Prix racing of the early 1900s. Although it is still considered an european sport, more of each season’s World Championship events are held at locations outside of Europe than in Europe itself. The top Formula One racing groups do have EU home bases.

Formula One racing is the most controlled in all of automobile racing. Restrictions are placed on every element of the automobiles. Constructors must be innovative to build a vehicle that may out-perform the other Formula One racing autos and yet meet all the FIA ( international vehicle Federation ) laws.

Each race is held at a different location. Some locations have traditionally always been part of Formula One racing. Monte Carlo is the ideal example. The Monaco Grand Prix held at Monte Carlo has become associated with Formula One racing because it is always part of the series. Originally Formula One racing Grand Prix were held on closed public streets and the Monaco Grand Prix continues to follow this custom. Newer venues around the globe, like the one at Bahrain, are held on tracks that have been designed specifically to meet the requirements of Formula One racing.
