On October 31st you get to be whomever you want.
This day is the only time of the year you can embrace the dark side! The costume you choose to wear is just the beginning. Go out of your way to develop a whole new persona.
This is your opportunity to become a figment of your imagination. Really think out the character you want to be. Go deep. Flush out your mannerisms, accents, and costume that will make this Halloween character, a persona people will talk about for years.
Tonight you are not you! This is your chance to do things you would never do and to wear things you would never wear!
If you are going as a pirate, put on eyeliner. If your a going someone out of the 70’s era, wear platform shoes. For this night your costume isn’t just a costume any more, it is a window to a new world. Find clothes that would represent you character and make you feel comfortable and confident at the same time.
Costume, check. Persona, Check. Its now time to use your newly developed persona to make this a memorable night.
Don’t just dress as Zorro, become Zorro; embody his confidence and his competence. Know that you (Zorro) can say and do anything.
Practice and internalize what that feels like, so you can recall those feelings again when you go out and meet a sexy new friend.
After Halloween is over, put away the costume, but hold on to the attitude and confidence of your fun, alter ego. Be bold, and remember how your character acted.
Then, throughout the holiday season of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s celebrations, when you are in the field and you have a tinge of approach anxiety or can’t imagine going for the kiss close, think to yourself “Well, what would my Halloween personality have done!” and do it.
Below are some costume ideas you can use for you next Halloween adventure.
+ A charismatic Superman. Next time you watch Christopher Reeves in Superman 1, notice how the man looks longingly and confidently at Lois Lane. He never flinches or slouches. Superman posture is the perfect. Notice how he never slouches and his chest is always puffed out. Take careful note, that it is not always about what a man says, but how he holds himself.
+ The roguish, never-takes-no-for-an-answer, pirate. Ladies love pirates!
+ An 80’s rocker. The long hair, the make up, the fantasy of being with or being a rock star never dies. One movie to watch is, “Rock Star.” This movie shows how a man with a dream becomes a modern day rock star. Take special notice how Mark Wahlberg dresses and how he does his hair. “Its all about the hair man, chicks dig the hair.”
+ When in doubt, try dressing up as a pirate. Johnny Depp has revolutionized how people perceive pirates.
+ Dress up as something cute and fluffy. The perfect costume is usually something cute and cuddly. Try dressing as a penguin or a teddy bear. Never fails!!
Happy Trick or Treating!!!
Neil Strauss and his Stylelife Academy have the skills to make you a better pick up artist by teaching how to get the girl by picking out the ideal costume for Halloween!!!
