In bow hunting, one must be able to remember a few factors to achieve successful hunting. First off is the location; one must be able to scout the area before the actual day of hunting. This will provide one the advantage of knowing the land and where the ideal and strategic post can be found; this will enable one to have a consistent advantage over the game. Doing this a few months earlier than the beginning of the season will enable the prey such as deer or rabbit to regain their confidence in their territory after it has been disturbed by those who have been exploring the area.
If you are a left handed bow hunter the most important thing to keep in mind is your positioning. If you are hunting with others chances are that most of your fellow hunters are right handed. In some cases you might even have to sit on a different angle than they do. This is to counterbalance the fact that you will be shooting your bow with a different hand.
Patience is a very valuable and important trait a good bow hunter must have as the prey may take a while before they go anywhere near one’s chosen spot as well as when stalking – this is vital so as not to drive the game away due to any sudden moves out of boredom.
